What is this useful for?

This is a practical money-counting exercise. The goal is to pay the exact amount while following a simple and consistent rule: use the smallest denominations first and keep the larger ones whenever possible.

How to use:

• Read the amount due at the top.
• Build the payment by using as many of the smallest-value coins or banknotes as possible.
• Move to larger denominations only if the smaller ones are no longer sufficient.
• Press Check to see whether the payment is exact, not enough, or too much.
• Press New task to generate a new amount.
